About Us
Thomas Brewing Company was formed in 2014. Our head brewer Tom H. and his father-in-law, Tom K., have been homebrewing together for the past several years. After the inaugural batch of brown ale, we expanded the brewing operation and beer offerings. Tom H. and Tom K. work closely with one another in all aspects of the brewery, including choosing beer recipes, brewing, monitoring brew quality, and naming the beers. When it came time to name the brewery, they realized that the name was in front of them the whole time. Thomas has been a very popular name in both families and Thomas Brewing Company was the logical choice, as the name honors many generations on both sides of the family. Today, the brewing operation has moved approximately 2 miles from the original home brewing operation in Plymouth, MN to Hopkins, MN. The new brewery has taken up residence inside a remodeled single stall yellow garage as the current brand logo illustrates.
